It's been a long while since I've had mine out. Raise headlights and you'll be able to reach in and remove the 2, I believe, 10mm nuts. Be cautious because the studs break easily. They are a "sealed " unit. You can clean them on the inside without removing them.
I personally like them left in.

What I did with mine was I compounded mine when I compounded the car, try that. Mine are much better now. I was going to buy new ones but I don't need to now.

Rubbing compound. Nice stuff, restores paint and plastic alike. On a side note, I drilled a hole in the black plastic on mine, where you couldnt see it. Now any water than does get in there evaporates very quickly.

The proper way to do the lenses is to remove them,2 10mm bolts under the head light housing.dont force them out from the front like the one guy said above they will break the molded bolt with nurl(nurl is what a weight bar has to grip your hands)that grips the lens itself.when you take the bolts off push only on the bolts to get them out .The reason why you want them out to buff them is to get around the egdes that the buffer cant get to with out burning your paint up,and also to get access to the back of the light itself. To buff plastic you must have a high rpm buffing wheel or buffer to get that luxurous high gross shine,First you need to wet sand them with 800 grit sandpaper with soapy water to get that clear coat(scratch coating)off the lens, then you will need to wet sand them with 1000 grit sandpaper to smooth out the 800 grit to get that high gross finish.NOW you will be ready to use the buffer or buffing wheel to shine them babies up, use a rubbing compound to put on the lens it self(buffing compound is white paste do not use a liquid compound the buffer will blow it off)WARNING if you do not now how to handle a buffing wheel find some one that does it can cause harm from the plastic shooting up into the wheel and into your eyes(wear safety glasses)and it can also burn the plastic up much faster than a regular buffer. When they get finish they will look like show room quality

Best way to clean them that I've seen (works with your turn signals and tail lights as well) is to use an aluminum polish on them. It works unbelievably well and looks absolutely great...especially S5 tails.

As far as lights...I did this with mine...lol (bored one day)...I went to a junk yard and swiped the little things that the bulbs plug into on side markers (left as much wire as I could on them). Then I drilled a .5" (or how ever big the sockets are) hole in the backs of the FTP lenses and wired them to my running lights.

I'd first actually try to wax them. The headlights on my old Talon would fog up, and then when i waxed them it would go away. I'm not sure why. My friend gave me this tip.
