Help i have just gotten a 1988 tenth anniv rx7 turbo and seem to have a possable exhaust soundin leak on the turbo side of the motor so much stuff in way i cant find it if you put your hand on the air pump you can seem to hear feel it pulsating but cant seem to track it down can definately hear but have looked everwhere any tips or help on locating it would be helpful as it is driving me crazy!!!!!

buy yourself a 1/2 drive torque wrench and torque the exhaust manifold to spec do the same for the downpipe

worked on mine but its not a turbo though

 

Are you sure its exaust? Could it maybe be the air control valve relieving? There is an approx 1 inch dia black hose coming out of it, and the other end is under the r/h fender/bumper. Those of us who have not lost a lot of their hearing might be able to hear that air control valve exaust sound. Then again it could be the exaust.

 

Thanks for the tips and guys and no i dont know if it is a exhaust leak or not no problem on hearing it though i will keep looking and when i find out what it is i will post it in case anybody else is having similar problems!!!
