Help with Door Removal?

Hi, I am attempting to remove my drivers side door and was wondering if anyone could offer any advice. I have a couple questions.

The first is how do you remove the pin that holds the thin metal lever that slides between the door and the jam? I already disconnected both the upper and the lower hinge so all that is left now is that thin metal sliding lever. The pin is actually really bent out of shape so i'm not too sure how to disconnect it.

Secondly, what is the easiest way to disconnect the wiring? Does the wire harness detatch from inside the door or inside the car? I don't want to have to cut it if I do not have too. Thanks in advance.

The harness unplugs in the drivers kick panel, then you will need to pop iy out of the retainers in the body.

The pin, just is pounded upwards

That pin should just pop out if its not too boogered up. Tap it up with something, if it can't go up because its to bent, try visegrips and twist it is you hit the grips up or the pin up. If that doesn't work just masacre it somehow to get it out. I think the wiring has a connector behind the kick panel in the car if you don't see one in the door.
