Help! Did work, now won't run!
Okay, I got my car with what I believe is the Air-injection hose cut and capped (narrow metal pipe going up into the engine bay along the exhaust). now, from what I could best tell, the other end of this was a 5/8-id rubber hose coming from the back of the engine, seemingly from under the lower intake manifold. So I purchased an elbow and some rubber hosing and put the two together. Now, to get reasonable access I had to remove the upper intake manifold. I coupled the hoses and put the intake manifold back on, hooking all the little tubes and hoses back up. However, when I tried starting it, it would turn over, "ignite", then go out. I cannot understand what I did wrong here. Did I make an incorrect assumption as to the juncture of the two hoses or have I left something out? Please help, I need this car in two weeks!

No, the bundle of oil hard lines on the back of the UMI are all re-attatched, all the vac lines are also in place, the collant hoses that attatch to the top of the throttle body (?) I made sure everything was in place. Now, afformantioned lines/hoses may be patially dry, but 10 attempted starts would have filled them back up, right?

Yes, there are two vac lines coming off the intake hose (between filter box/TB), and there is one on the other side of the intake manifold. Those are the only ones I touched, and they are on as snugly as they were when they were removed. Conversely, I just realized, I had had the idle screw pretty far in, maybe re-hooking the air injection made it idle lower and now it can't idle?

I am going with when you removed the UIM, you removed some vacuum lines that were not reconnected. Thats my theory at the moment, as it would prevent the car from starting. Connecting the port air (or split air I cant remember which one goes to the cat), should not affect your idle.

Did you Connect the AFM?..(the Big connector that goes to the Stock air box,or Air filter apparatus!)..if that is not Plugged in,the car will Start and Die,as many times as you TRY to get it to go..but it will always just Start and die,and not RUN...I would also see if the Spark plugs are WET.if they are clean them and look up DEFLOODING./...and for GOD's Sake, after you get it Going.Leave it alone!..unless you Research what the Heck you are doing, then this will not be the first time this is gonna Happen..try and make it the last time though!..Good luck.

Got back from a forced vacation and checked, MAF is hooked-up (i never unplugged it) and I think I hooked-up all the grounds, I remember taking only one off (back of UIM, driver-side) but towards the middle there is some kind of bracket with an empty bolt-post. Now, I did not have any leftover nuts, and did not loose any, and there is not an extra wire back there.
