what does the voltmeter on the dash say when you turn the key on?? Anything???

If nothing, you have a disconnected or bad battery.

If it shows less than 12.6 volts, you have a bad battery

Did it work at any point after you changed the battery?

Get a multi-meter and read the voltage on the battery.

Chances are you just don't have something tightend down, but you need to rule out the battery being bad first

It depends on what you mean by, "flooded."
If you mean something like - your car started fine, you turned your car off, then put your top down, and then you received 10" of rain, on frozen or saturated land. Then that might be causing a problem.
If you mean your engine is flooded with gas, that would be a totally irrelevant problem.

-Do what Icemark said and find out your battery's condition.
-Alternately, most auto parts stores will "load test" your battery for free.

If your battery has an Open Circuit Voltage of 10V, and your battery has the capacity to run a wrist watch, you should still see a light or two flicker when your ignition is set to run. This situation would be a bad battery.
If you get your battery checked out and it is fine, and NOTHING turns on when your key is set to run, your ignition switch is not connected to your battery somewhere.

Could have. They are right by the battery, easy to check. I do not know for sure if any fuses under the dashboard would affect this. I would check your main fuse box first, (the one by the battery).

Also, check your battery. I know you charged your battery for 30 minutes, but at what rate? A fully discharged battery, (OCV ~10V) can take 5-6 hrs @ 10 amps to fully charge.

Did you charge your battery while it was still connected to the car? Assuming everything is hooked up correctly, you should be able to turn your ignition on (don't try to start) and lights will come on. Don't leave your ignition on for more than a few seconds, since that will be as long as you need to see if it worked or not, and the charger is most likely not designed to charge and run your electronics for more than 20-30 seconds max.

Some chargers do have a "jump start" function, which basically provides your battery with a boost in voltage for maybe 5-10 seconds of cranking. Then you have to let the charger sit for 2 minutes to recover.
