i went out to start the car( 88 n/a ) and it wouldn't start. it make a cranking noise, so i replaced the starter and it still wouldnt fire. the belts move, the fan turns,and exhuast comes out when turning key... but it doesnt start... i also had the plugs, wires , and the alternater replaced..........

Well you probably just wasted you money on the starer, because that probably wasn't the starter. If it were me I would find sombody that I know that has a truck, get a tow strap, hook it up to the tow hooks under your car in the front you will see them if you don't know were they are at. Then put the car in second gear and once you are going let the clutch out, and tha might work. I think that you have just flooded the engine, so if you can't get a truck or that doesn't work search the forum or the internet for unflooding write ups.
