Angry HELP!! Car won't start-electrical problem!

I have a 1987 Turbo II and it just won't start anymore!
I tried a few things since I last wrote to the Forum and I now have more precisions on the symptoms.

Things I know
-The problem first appeared on a few occasions, then more and more often.
-It's not flooded and the problem is electrical.
-If I push start it, it will start.

What it does
I checked for spark on all of the 4 spark plugs and noticed the same result on each of them. When I turn the key and the engine starts to crank, there's one spark at the beginning and then nothing. Curiously, if I let the key go back to the ON position and try again to start, there's no spark at all!?!?
If I turn the key back to the OFF position and then try to start again, same thing as before...only one spark when the engine starts to crank!

Things I did
I changed the plugs, the wires, the coil/igniter sets and it made no change. I also checked the crank angle sensor by measuring the resistance and it turned out OK. After push starting it and driving it for a while, I am succesful in starting it once or twice after but then it's back to "no starting".

WHAT COULD IT BE???
I suspect it could be the ECU. Is it possible? I have a 1986 GXL for spares, can I try the ECU from that car on the TII without doing any damage?
I NEED HELP, I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO TRY ANYMORE!?!?!?!?

sounds like it could be the ecu. The wiring on these cars is getting old, and its not first rate stuff. A bad connection at a wiring connector (from rust probably)could be screwing you. The trouble shooting section in the factory manual discusses this. It also suggests testing wires for resistance (you don't want any) between the various components. I would recommend getting some contact cleaner (I like Wurth) and hosing your wiring connections down.
