HELP car won't even start now

well this is really starting to get on my nerves, so first off i have a 89 gxl was having some starting problems before, would turn it over and i would have to pump the gas till is started and couldn't figure out what was goin on. i had it scanned and it came back with a bad maf, idle sensor and tps, i have changed the tps and maf so far and now the damn thing is even harder to start and when it does get goin i have to stay on the gas to keep it goin plus there was some back firing too when i try to start it. someone help i am completely baffled here

Listen, as a test, simply place your car in nuetral, and this may hurt you more than a kick to the nuts, but allow some one to push it. Get up alittle speed, throw it in first and let off the clutch. Your car'll definently start, but wit alot of buck. I had to this very thing, for I played with the ignition and dumped an over accessive amount of fuel into the engine. It'll start, but allow it to idle for a while to burn off the fat. It should crank fine afterwards. It happens, but afterwards still investigate other av's.

Have you checked for vacuum leaks?

Condition of plugs and wires?

Timing?

How's compression?

What is the general condition of the wiring harness? That many faults probably means that something serious is wrong with the emissions harness...

agreed.

also look at the fsm and start using a multimeter to check the sensors before you keep replacing everything.
