HELP, car problems fc t2 wondering what you guys think.

Ok I have a 88 fc t2. When I drive the car in the high way and it reaches 55-60 mph the car shakes seems like its coming from the rear. I got the car to my friends shop and put it on the car lift and we shook the tires up and down and side to side on the front and rear tires. they checked out great. with no play. So we looked under the car and everything seems to be good. But the car shakes at 60mph. have any one had this problem before and found out what it was. I dont want to try and start buying all these stuff and replacing things and find out that its still not those stuff. any suggestion and help would be great. I just got the car. I own a 93 fd3s and just got the fc and these cars are older with less care taken on them. Its not like the fd where everything was taken car of very well.

Second thing what did the t2 guys do to their mass air flow sensor to keep the car from dying. I installed a hks blow off valve and the car when you boost and let off it dies. and you have to normal drive the car with out boosting for it to not die when it idles.

third thing when I got the car it always idle high at like 1500-2000 and stays there what could be the problem? let me know on that also. thanks alot guys.

Ok smarty pants look for bondo. I do auto body for a living and I think I would of spotted bondo on the car when I checked it out before getting it. I can spot what some one fixed and see where they blended the paint to match the factory paint and where they finished clearing. So I think I would of seen bondo. So your answer was very unuseful.
Im looking for more of if anyone has had the same issues and something that is common with the fc chassi such as a unbalanced drive shaft or something else with the diff or something.

Never had the shacking problem but I wouldn't be suprised if it was a unbalance driveshaft.

If you route BOV with tubing back into the intake it will keep any MAF car from dying.

There is an idle adjust screw on the throttle body.

yeah I was thinking that maybe I should check to see if anyone has had a common drive shaft be unbalanced before I think about taking it to go balance at a place. Also I cant reroute the bov to the intake. I have a hks bov and there isnt a way of plugging a hose to that end and putting it back in the intake.

Check the driveshaft. Does it vary with speed? If so it is your driveshaft. If not loose/broke suspension piece?

For the bov get a different one and route it back into the intake.

Idle use the screw.

I'd check the Tires for Belt shift.I'd also for the hell of it,Rotate the tires to see if there is a Change in the shaking...another suggestion is to check the U joints, and the differential mounts as well as the Rear control arm bushings(DTSS)..and although I am an N/A guy,I think that there is a screw on the BAC to adjust Idle on the TII.(please double check that,I don't want to give you the Wrong info) Cheers,STYX!~

Yeah shaking could be a lot of things, you'll just have to do some investigating. I'll add flywheel to the list everyone gave. Also see if it's the same regardless of what gear you're in, or if it changes with gear, or if it happens at a certain rpm even if you're not in gear. Or if it happens at a certain speed even if you're idling in neutral. That'll tell you a lot about where the problem is.
