ok well i spent some time searching, and this hose seems to be a common problem. is it possible and/or likely that the hose i got from the auto parts store was the wrong diameter? i need to check again tommorow in the daylight, but it seemed the hose was dry after replacement, but still pouring coolant from around the engine side of the hose

did you use the same clamp? DO NOT use the same clamps. buy the one that you tighten with a screwdriver. make sure when you do it, BURP the car after that coz i'm pretty sure air is in your system. search the forum on how to burp it.

Did the connection have any build up on it? If so make sure to clean that off as well cause the hose won't get a good hold and could fluid can still leak past.

i used new clamps. i was only able to find bulk heater hose from an auto parts strore. im thinking maybe its a different size diameter. and do you think build up would cause it to be steadily dripping out still? thanks for the help

I had to replace that hose recently and I started into a mess of problems. Right after I replaced it, I ended up finding out that my replacement hose had a pin hole in it.
