HELP! 87T2 idles but cuts off when accelerated

I have an 87t2 w/safc 3 inch exhausthks fcd..and a few other minor up grades. My problem is yesterday when going to my friends house my car just shut off!!! then when tried to start back the battery was deaed!!! luckily it was in front of my friends house and he jumped the car it idles fine the fluids are in check on my safc the afl is 1.5ish around idle it idles at around 1300 using 14% of my throttle I know Im running rich due to my o2 sensor being rigged but this came out of no where. when i gat in and put it in gear and begin to accelerate it like "hiccups then dies sometimes turning back on. its almost like when you take the airbox of the vehicle or disconnect the mass airflow sensor and you have to hold the throttlejust to accelerate or else it will die. the same happens to me and i checked the intake and it looks ok. but what i dont get is how did the battery just totally die!!and it was a good battery!!! also i smelled like a burning plastic when it happened though im not sure! I really need help guys I JUST registered the car last Tuesday. I think maybe its a sensor that went , or maybe I fried something ? But it astarts right up just like before and idles all the same just like before. HELP PLEASE!!!!-Erik Montalvo

The same thing just happened to me, I thought it was a sensor too
I chased my tail for 2 weeks until I did a compression test and found out I
droped an apex seal.

if u smelled something burning id say lookin in burnt wiring, thats just common sense in my train of thought...if youre not sure, then start simple always...

i had something like this.. i caught a tiny harness fire that sperated n melted a few wires out of nowhere and it whiped out my 2ndaries on the way home from work...lol.. if u smelt burnt plastic check all the places where plastic is.. its prolly gonna be the plastic wire loom that goes over the wires or hopefully not the harness
