AZ Help!

Stupid me went to change my belts. Ac and drive belt. I have no PS. foolishly I did not disconnect the ground cable. I loosened the alternator bolts and went to move it down so that the pulley would loosen off of the belt and heard a pop… Now my car will not even click or turn over. However when I put the key tin, the annoying beeping still is continuing. I have no voltmeter which shucks. I have no car currently to go get me one… MY question is. Did i fry the alternator or is it something bigger than this? What else can I do to check? Thanks. Quick replies would be great and any information is great information Thanks guys! P.S. I'm in Tucson if someone over here could come help me. Thanks again

And yes… once I heard the pop noise I immediately took of the ground belt and then tried to proceed with my belt change but failed because I could not get the AC pulley to move. Assembled it all back on and then tried to start and now I am sad. I did have a neighbor help me jump it. However, nothing happened.

You popped your main fuse.
Check the fuse in the engine bay.
you need to unbolt it,as it is held in with 2 10mm bolts(one on each side of the fuse block) to get it out of the fuse block,it does not simply pull out of that fuse block.

I would check the fuse box next under the hood there is a hundred amp fuse that might be popped if your hundred fuse is intact I would check the ground to your starter. But more than likely it's going to be an easy fix because your car was working before that happened
