I personally like the rotary and would like to keep it , its something different yeah swapping a v8 in would be easy and more reliable in the end , but if I wanted thst I would buy a honda. But joking aside im looking to keep everything I have for my car and just make the motor hold up I ordered a housing and gaskets and plan on putting it back together or tsking a smart route and using pineapple racing or one of them, I like pr 5/50 warranty

 

read through their "limited" warranty explanation and you will see it really only covers normal wear and tear on an engine, which even an engine rebuilt mainly with used parts for 1/3 the price should be able to handle quite easily. if you run it out of oil, overheat it, detonate it and break a seal, run it over power and crack an iron(this is a grey area, most consider the failure cause to be light detonation), etc are not covered by their description.

although i only give a 1 year limited warranty on most of my engines, it is virtually unlimited unless tuned/installed by someone else. you're always going to find red tape so i wouldn't let the 5 year warranty make you feel like you're guaranteed against anything that might arise, usually what kills engines isn't the build process or the parts used but outside factors, like that one 20 year old hose that looked fine and was too much of a hassle to find during installation.

don't get me wrong, i don't dislike pineapple but i do dislike that they force their "stages" of rebuilds on people with things i consider unecessary and a waste of money. what will they ever do if the housings become NLA like the 12a have?

at the end of the day my customers get to try and break nearly 3 engines for the cost of one.

 

Thats why im asking opinions , im not nrw to rotary , nor to automotive im a tech myself and have been for a long time. Im asking what everyone would suggest I want a drop in motor right now to handle 500hp minimum, not that im pushing that I am easy on my car but like to have fun once in a while. So im honestly asking as far as rotary where should I be looking and what should I be spending
