stracr85019,

Hey welcome to the forum. GXL was luxury, GTU is the sport model, GTU-S is lighterweight racing model with better gearing, Turbo II is the SUPERCAR model (250-450+HP capable) and has better gearing, Convertible has both full recline & t-top modes, SE is the base model, sport is a lighterweight model, and 10th Aniversary is a limited edition Turbo II.

I'd recomend the following maintenance:
- FULL 50K mile service/tuneup (including injector cleaning).
- Replace the "pulsation dampiner" if your car has over 90K miles
- switch to redline synthetic in the transmission & rear differential
- use regular engine oil in the engine

Other upgrades you might consider
- full exhaust upgrades (downpipe, performance main cat, nice catback exhaust) - ESPECIALLY if the car has over 100K miles on it
- new shocks/springs OR coilovers
- full allignment & tire balance

After that you might consider buying/making a cold air box & associated intake & headlight cover air intake

www.mariahmotorsports.com sells a SWEET intake setup with fiberglass cold air box which replaces the stock airbox, K&N filter/intake, and they'll stamp your headlight cover for more intake ventilation.

that's all off the top of my head.

also check out the links section as there's A TON of stuff available for these cars (accessories, discount mazda parts, upgrades, bodykits, toy models, 1/10th scale rotary R/C cars, ground effects, replacement front nose/kit, etc..

Finally your local mazda dealer can get most anything for your cars, but you migt also want to get a Victoria British catalog (they're free) - www.victoriabritish.com

So your another person trying to get the maz out of your NA 7 right? Well after full exhaust and intake there isn't much more bolt ons to do. You can try pulleys, e-fan and lightening up your car as much as possible. Do you have a header? After all that its basically time for porting/supercharger/N2O.

Removing FTP lenses is useless for additional air for the intake. There is too much metal behind them. Not to mention a headlight!

Header - Mazdatrix/Racing Beat - 10 to 15 hp

Underdrive pulleys - Unorthodox - another 10 hp

Nitrous - Keep it around 50-75 shot.
