I have a 1987 "GX" model (original owner) which was the middle model in the line up (one up from the base). It is absolutely stock, never winter driven and in immaculate condition with only about 40K miles (60K kilometers). It might be worth $4K CAN

 

the reason i was asking was because he wants $7000 canadian for it, i asked a friend and he said he thought it was a little too high

$7K Can is way too high. A 16 year old RX-7 is just not worth that much.

Cause here in Quebec, a CLEAN CLEAN FC, never winter driven, is like max 5000$.

 

Agree with sonicRaT. My 5K Canadian is about exactly $3.5K USD. Those of us who have to deal with Canadian pesos, KNOW the exchange rate off by heart.

If you can verify that the rebuild was done by someone good and that everything is in the stated condition, it might be worth 4k USD if you really want it. It sounds like he spent too much on the rebuild and he needs money/wife is making him sell it. If this is the case, you could prob work him down on the price some. Look for stuff like screwy elecronics (very common on s4's) cracked brakes (common on x-drilled rotors) or other stuff like that to use as a bargaining chip.
