heavy gas pedal

I just did a turbo II swap on my N/A and the throttle feels very heavy, like i reeeaaallllyyyy have to push on the pedal to get it to open the throttle, i was wondering is this normal due to the lengthy throttle cable, or is it due to back pressure from my stock N/A exhaust? any other ideas? please some help is much appreciated

thank you

isn't the throttle body on the N/A oriented differently than the throttle body on a TII as far as where the cable attaches? I vaguely remember getting a TII cable when I swapped the N/A out of the last RX-7 I had.

yes, it is, the TII cable is much much longer, it wraps around, and im wondering if this longer cable is causing the heaviness on my gas pedal

Which cable are you using with the TII engine? If its the NA cable and its too short, that could be dangerous to drive the car like that.

The TII throttle cables feel much heavier than the NA cables due to the longer length.

Just the nature of the beast.

It should not make that much of a difference. I didn't really notice any difference when I swapped my car.

the T2 cables have a tendency to break the plastic protective liner that surrounds the cable housing, this allows moisture to enter the cable which means rust... you can treat the cable with a line service kit available at most motorcycle shops or elevate the cable and run some WD40 down it or some light engine oil like MMO.
