NV heater issues

i have been searching on and off for a few days now and couldnt find the same issue im having.

got this 87 sport and the blower fan for the heat only works occasionally when you slide the dial to MAX. swapped in a known working logicon from my vert i parted out and same thing.

any info is appreciated!

thanks for the links, too bad there was never any follow up from the original posters, ill try all the trouble shooting from those links.. im gathering that my transistor is blown, and the transistor isnt replace-able correct? just gotta get a whole new blower fan assembly?

swap the transistor from your vert if you still have it. my money is on that

the old blower is one of the few things i didnt pull off the vert before it got squished.. i feel stupid for that one.. ill snag a junkyard one soon hopefully

I got one from the junkyard, Mazda 626 uses the same apparently, my 626 blower is from a 1991. Also, alot of other cars uses the same, three-bolt white blower. Also you can fetch a brand new one somewhere on the interwebs for about 100 bucks, and I bet those work better than all you get on the junkyard. But I cant find that out untill I need a new one :P
