Usually it's the logicon or air control door. Push the heater slider back and forth. You should hear a gizmo turning when you do. If not either the logicon isn't sending a signal to the doors or the doors are busted. A bad logicon is more common, I think. If you want to make sure it's the logicon and not the air control doors, try applying 12 volts to the air control doors and see if they move. If so, it's the logicon. If not, the doors are busted. Check out the FAQ to find links to download the FSM (Factory Service Manual) to find the air control doors, or try the Haynes manual. But it's a pain to get to the air control doors, I dunno if I'd bother. Do a forum search for more info on removing and resoldering the logicon. You must remove the old solder to do it properly. If you do hear noise when you move the slider, then the logicon and air control doors are fine and there's debris blocking the heater core or something else causing the problem.

Locate the two relays in front of the blower Housing.

Key to ON.

Move the slider to the right a inch or two. One relay should click. The square one I think.

Move the slider all the way to the right. The OTHER relay should click, I think the round one.

You do that after making sure the fuses are good in the interior.

Got a meter. Helps trouble shooting a blower that does not blow. No meter results in not much of an answer from me at least.

Go to the FAQ thread at the top of the page. Find the link to MANUALS. Download the MANUAL for series four that is headed BODY ELECTRICAL. There's a trouble shooting seciton there plus the wiring diagams in the Wiring Section.

HEATER, Illum and METER fuse have to be good.
