heater/clutch situation?
Whatsup fellas, Ok heres my first newbie post. First of all this is how my situation goes on the first hand my car takes forever to warm up and when it finally does and i turn on the heat, nothing but cold air comes out. The heat will suddenly "turn" on for no reason sometimes. Now my second situation which i don't know if they are related, is that i just purchased this N/A 87 RX-7. The clutch slips alot and i have to floor it to get anywhere. Now when my car is in its' "cold" state my clutch slips and when my heat suddenly "turns" on and comes out of nowhere. my clutch engages smoothly and everything goes well. Anyway that's my little dilemma. Please feel free to share any info or advice i can use to rectify this situation. Thanks in advance.

thats a strange clutch situation. as for the heat, you may want to check/test, or replace your thermostat with an oem(only) t-stat. next, you may have air bubbles in the coolant or have some clogging in the system. you may want to try and flush the system. as for the clutch, if it were worn and slipping, it would slip all of the time, not just when your heat was working or not working.
