Heat Shielding. Recommend any?

I have a cold air box, and I am going to put heat shielding on the inside, and probable the outside too.

I know I have seen some fiberglass type stuff, with reflective aluminum type stuff on it.

Any suggestions? Trying to keep it relatively cheap, I have seen stuff on summit, and jcwhitney for $24 for a 12"x24". Looks pretty thin.

Thanks!

Where does your "cold air" box draw the air from?

Basically, I'm thinking that the intake air spends so little time passing through this box that insulating would make little to no difference.

Yea, I don't think i will need shielding. After looking. I can look through the little gap in my hood above my right head light, and see my cone. I can actually see the hole in the center of the cone. And, it is a cone that has the center that is open for air, filtered of course.

So, even if heat got into the box, I think the air that finds it's way into the box from the little gaps, will cool it.

I am thinking about buying header wrap just to help keep overall engine temps down. Though, don't have the $$ right now.
