Which belt?
The heater works like a radiator. Engine coolant passes through a little radiator called a heater core in the passenger compartment. When you want heat, you select the logicon on the dash to heat, and it opens a flapper inside the dash to divert hot air from the heater core to you. When you want cooler air, it positions the flapper more towards the outside air to cool it down. This is "blending". If you snapped a belt and the heater stopped working, does that mean you were driving your car w/o the water pump being driven?

The FD has no valve, all it's temp control is by air "blending" and it has a more elaborate door/flapper system to achieve this.
The OPs post makes no sense.

If I am decyphering the Thread right..
Your Water pump belt snapped and now you have no Heat inside your car?you replaced it right?
have you checked the coolant level to see if your coolant is sufficient?
..Heater belt...that's a new one.

kinda like the timing belt
most likely you broke the water pump belt and that is the cause of this, but you say you replaced it so your problem can be fixed by burping the coolant system, unclogging your heater core, replace/bypass heater control valve, redline your engine while moving (somehow helped mine until i unclogged the heater core). or take it to a mechanic. but the easiest way and laziest is just wear a big jacket in your car
