are you wanting the cheap way or the right way?

cheap way:pop your hood find your retractor fuse pull that then once its pulled tell yoru headlights to open then tap the fuse against its leads till its at desiered hight.(note doing this will leave yoru have with "sleepy eyes constantly till you replace the fuse then they will move again.)

Right way 1(the electric way): install a switch on you dash somewhere connected to the fuse tell the headlights go up or down and flip the switch to kill power to retractor at desiered hight.

Right way 2(the mechanical way):get 2 peices of tubing one that will fits inside the other tube. crush one end of each tube flat. drill holes to accomidate the ball conectors fron stock lifting arms.(now i dont know what lenghts these should be cut at personally someone else may know) cut the arms to crrect lenght so when the motor spins to push the headlight up the smaller tube slids into the biger tube to a point then the headlight lifts the rest of the way. (personally i would perfer this method as it can be pulled from one car and put on another when selling the car and the stock headlight bars can be replaced if your buyer doesn't like the "sleepy eye look"

i'll try and get the measurments later.

You can put a switch on the one you want to wink.

There is a kit to make the lights pop half.

Harnesses are to expensive to cut up all ***** nilly, use this method if you want to use a switch but pull the fuse and run wire to either side of where the fuse went, then run the fuse inline with the switch on the new wire. If you wanna put it back stock, just have to put the fuse back

And every time you hit a bump your headlights are gonna jump like crazy.

Oh if you use the cheap way instead of tapping the lead, there are little ***** under the car below the headlights that you can turn and adjust the headlights to whatever hight you want. There supposed to be used when your motor dies and you cant get them up.

cheap way..get a switch and run it between the retractor motor fuse and the Fuse block,(you'll need a couple spade connectors and a switch)..when you activate the haedlights to on,hit the Switch, and it will cut power to the retractor motors...or remove the fuse and crank them where you want them to be..but that is TOO easy?.isn't it?

Radical idea guys? i just posted about the ***** i found under the car, what about setting the height of the lights lower? by this i mean popping the head lights up then setting them the way you like, then just flipping them from there? wouldn't that work? i mean i don't exactly know how the ***** work yet but it sounds like a good try is in order.

i was wondering guys, how come no one ever thought about wiring it up to a dimmer switch? in theory i believe it would work, but i wouldnt know how to do it.

as a dimmer switch, i know you can control the voltage sent to the light and so forth control the areas brightness. so i thought if you wire it up to the flip lights, you can have it at full open or any angle.

correct me if this idea can or cannot work... and why?

i don't think that would work because if you control the voltage to the motor all your doing is starving it of the juice it needs to preform the action. good idea but i assume that the result would be that the motor would struggle to open the lights and depending on what setting its on it would just struggle less or struggle more. and before you ask, no you don't want your motor to struggle till its where you want it. i would say if you half *** this any way you put it you only screwing up the fine machine that is the seven. seriously though "Import Modifications" covers DIY stuff like that on there cd. look them up they are awesome for people that want those trendy looks but A don't wish to put out hundreds of skrill and B may want to do the work them self then put a custom twist on it to make your project different that the next. also they show you how to preform installs on your car. for instance: clutches. skyline tail lights, sway bars, lambo doors, exhaust, DVD navigation, assorted lighting mods, custom interior dieing and apolstry, gauge clusters. most popular mods preformed on most popular cars. also i may note that the stuff they cover isn't exactly professional type stuff but you will be guided by other DIYers through the wonderful world of import tuning in your garage using various stuff from hardware stores. but of course things like sway bars cant just be made so that's why they just show you how to install them instead of wasting money at the shop.

so how much hp can you get out of this winking thing? Is it more cold air? if you leave the right lamp up does that act like an airbrake and help you make right turns faster? if you wink them when you turn does that put you into "HYPERDRIFT" mode. Just curious

Where is TT on this one? Maybe hes too busy ripping into someone else. I figured some people on here would have pre-typed responses that they they could just copy and paste for threads like this.
