Arrow headlight resting height

ok I have a problem. my drivers side headlight motor is broke and I have to open and close it manually. However when it is closed, in it absolute lowest position it sticks out 1/4 an inch above the hood. Is it cause of the motor or is there some adjutsment im missing.

Maybe, just maybe, you can loosen the attach bolts at the back of the headlight assy and manuver the light assy to a more pleasing position, then tighten those two bolts on the rear of the headlight assy.

What is broken????? Have you considered the relay that controls the up/down of the headlights????? One relay for each headlight assy. These external relays are only on the early series four. Take the relay from the working side and swap it with the non-working side and see what happens. That's if you think it's electrical in nature.

I was talking about the moving the whole assy by loosening the bolts the hold the whole assy in place, not just the cover on top.

What part of the motor is broken>?

There should be an adjuster below the headlights. Look in your Haynes, it should be in there.

That adjuster controlls their opening and closing. I am talking about their height while theyre completely closed. I dunno whats wron with the motor I just know it used to make a straining noise and now it is silent. never opened though. Im going to replace it probably this next week.
