JerkRacer, the lights I am using mount using a bracket. They sit up off of that floor a little bit, so I can angle them down. Seeing as how the product is not finished, I cannot say for sure how well they light the area right in front of the car. This bucket does however put the light in about the stock position and the lights I am using are better than stock, so my prediction is for an improvement.

Spyder, Bite ME!

That's an awesome kit for lights!! Good work man! Too bad i don't own an FC or else i'd have you build me one. I'm usually a fan of 2 round headlights, but i think one rectangular one would look good b/c the wood frame looks good enough as it is! Keep up the excellent work

Thanks. I was worried when I saw your name about what you would write!

The quality of the picture thankfully blurs the image enough that it doesn't look too bad. The somewhat rectangular area is just going to be a lexan cover. I will have 2 lights behind that, 1 round & 1 oval. They are Catz XLD.

The kit is now complete. I just need to make up about 30-40 and start selling them.

nice!!! i also made a set of lights similar. here's the thread on it https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...pics+of+my+car
i made mines out of sheet metal, rivits, and plumbers tape. a word of advice: don't try to heat up the polycarbonate lenses too hot or else bubbles will appear and it REALLY stinks. (so dont do it in your moms oven) also make sure the lights you use dont touch the covers or come too close to them or else, you guessd it, more bubbles!!! oh yea! adjust your lights b4 you seal everything all up. i forgot to and am too lazy to re-adjust them so the lighting is poor. but if i adjusted them they would light up better that stock. good luck!!

i was the one that stated they looked to much like a camaro with the square lites !

but if you can fit the round ones like the miata links ....they would look good

i just want to see the pics and prices when your done!
i hope this is not a project that will take 10 years to make or that gets deleted !

vmb, all the hard work is done. I completed the "buck". I just have to get the pieces reproduced. The pics in this thread are not of the actual final "buck" even; that is just a quick test fit.

I stated in the other thread that there will not be pics of the final product for at least 2 weeks. Sorry, I work.

Geez vmb, This is the second time I've quoted this so the third time it appears in this thread. Once for each page, I guess.

I am using FET Catz lights. The kit is not "light specific". I made a bucket, you provide the lights. I wanted to allow for flexibility so some could use HID, etc.
I am glad you are so interested though. Thanks for the bump. FYI, everyone, the kits are being reproduced now. Hmmmmm.....

You know that Lexan scratches VERY easily and it is nearly impossible to get to look good again. It may be worht it (especially if you are going to make upwards of 50 of these) to get glass, or some other material cut for the inserts... thats my only concern. If I purchased your kit (which I won't because you will be living about 5 minutes from my house and that would be GAY!! ), i would be replacing the lexan with custom glass pieces when I installed them.

Just my 2 cents.

Otherwise, they look pretty tight.

Sorry Node, only one repeat per page!!!

Kurgan, 704 IAA Drive #A1, first apartment in the building on the left side of the parking lot.

i would be replacing the lexan with custom glass pieces when I installed them.
This was a cost issue. Lexan scratches, but also polishes. I could also probably package 3 pairs of replacements for the cost of a set of glass. BTW, let me know where you would get your glass from. I will definately look into it. (I'm so DARN PUNNY!)

Nucklez, where did that come from???

The final product is in production. I can't tell you how long until they are finished because I sub-contracted some work. The pre-production is being done in Texas this very minute. My guy just called at 3:45pm.

Good news, the kits are being sent back to Illinois already for final assembly. : )

Also, Jaybr said he paid $650 for his Eastbear kit. I paid $240 for my XLD's, so even if my buckets were $400, they would still be cheaper. I don't need to price them that high though. Look out, the finished product is coming soon!
