Headlight help.

ok heres the deal, i put in a new headlight switch and Harness in my 7. The problem I am having is when i install the turn and highbeem switch I'm getting a buzzing noise from infront of the rad. I am guessing its a relay. What do you guys think?

Buzzing - like maybe a harness connector rubbing on the plastic or metal structures behind the dash?

Is it a new harness? If yes...the harness might be from an S5...some of the connections are different from an S4.

The harness and switch are from a 90 GX, and I have a 89 GXL. And the Buzzing sounds is coming from in front of the Rad. and the headlight on work when the highbeem switch in pluged in.

Feel the relays in between the radiator and the bumper and isolate which relay is causing the noise. Then pull the Factory Service Manual and see what function it provides. Then see if it is grounded well and swapt it out if you have a spare (Many FC Owners have access to a spare parts car.)
Good Luck!

I found the relay that was making the noise when i pulled it the lights went off so I am guessing it the headlight relay. when I pulled the relay from its casing
it looks prefect, not burned up at all and everything looks to be connected fine.. is there much difference between and 89 GXL Harness and a 90 GX? i know the switch is a little different but ic was told it should still work. Thanks for the help.

I have the same problem. I took the relay apart and it is arcing. Have been going through system to try and find cause. Have swaped relays and several switches but am trying to find replacement harness to troubleshoot with. If you find the solution please let me know.

Tnx Fred
