ok i'm about to order some headers for my 89 n/a. but i dont know diff between the rb road race and the rb streetable header. what would you guys get. the price diff is only like 5 - 10 $. and the headers will be going on a daily driven 7. thanks for the advice.

 

The road race is a "true dual" type header, where both pipes stay seperate. The streetable is collected, which means there is only one outlet on the header.

Depends who you talk to, what you want, and how you believe the exhaust system works.

Do a search, this topic has been beaten to death and you'll get all the info you could ever want about true duals versus collected.

 

True duals will most likely give you th highest HP gains, but if you need to pass emissions, a single-pipe system would be better (hence, streetable) just for the sake of having one cat.

jhammons, what kind of presilencers are those on your true duals? I will most likely be getting my true duals done sometime within the next month or two and I was considering not running any presilencers, but then I realized that I like having eardrums.
