I was wondering what my options are as far as the 21inches of NOTHING between my header and Y pipe...I used to run a stock manifold to a bonez racing pipe to cat-back...but now my header goes to where I SHOULD have a pre-silencer or Main cat..but I don't...so, does someone out there MAKE and SELL a BOLT UP pipe that will connect my header to my Y pipe? Or what are my options? I don't want to have someone make me a pipe that will fill the are, as there are NO flanges, and it wouldn't bolt up, it would have be welded...and I really dont want a solid exhaust system that goes from the motor to the bumper...with no flanges..Thanks guys

What header did you get? If you got the Racing Beat two into one header the pre-silencer is the piece that bolts between the header and the y-pipe. But if you are asking if anyone sells just a straight pipe I believe the answer is no. You will probably have to build something your self (or an exhaust shop). But on another note I don't know where you live but with out the pre-silencer it can get loud.

i got two words for you my friend! E-BAY! lol when i did some parts shopping for my cousin's CRX i found a company (can't remember the name) that was selling cat pipes that would bolt in to take over the place of your cat.... now mind you, if you someday get pulled over, flipped over, or jacked up and a police officer see's that and notices that pipe... that is a hefty fine in any state... just thought ya should know, and good luck i'll try to find a link for you later.... peace

Mazdatrix sells a presilencer and a cat that will work with the Racing Beat header mentioned above. It is still very loud with the presilencer alone. I just got a ticket for it last week. Now I have to put a cat in so I can take it to the DMV for inspection. I'm hoping the cat will quiet it down some.

otherwise i looked for that company selling on e-bay and i couldn't find them... but when i previously found it, all i did was type "crx" in and looked at about 34 pages of parts... so good luck if that one won't work... hope this link helped tho...

Humm, well Im NOT going to run a cat, and I'm NOT planning on running a pre-silencer, so some sort of fabricated pipe is going to be what I need I guess...where I am I don't need worry about emissions, and my car is already too loud and I don't much **** for it, so a little bit more isn't going to hurt me I would think. I looked at that link..if it wasnt for a FD it would be lovely...that is what I need, a "midpipe" going from the header to the Y pipe...but who builds one? Can you really trust those ebay guys with their "bolt up "test" pipes"??

you have to ask yourself one thing is your car for the street? if the answer is yes don't even think of running it with out the presilenser. I ran a car on the street with a header, jackson racing cat, and a corksport cat back. it was load and when i say load i mean load. damn load did i mention load. also with out the presilenser it sounds raspy like a hing piched bussing. that will heard the ears of a dog. i have heard that the racing beat silencer gets rid of that bussing. also look into the bonez pip offered by rx-7.com.

I understand you dont know what your talking about but i do and what you need is a "cat replacement pipe" which is the same exact size as the main cat which is the same size as a presilencer which is the same size/length you need to connect your header to your y pipe....CAN YOU SAY WOW

So like i said before go check out johns site www.rotaryinnovation.com and check out his cat replacement pipe. Its a good quality pipe and john is a very trustworthy guy.

Don't have to be a dick about it.
And I HAVE looked at that guys pipe, and its too SMALL, 2inch ID, I have 2 1/2. I'm not about to bottle neck my exhaust.
Oh no, my car's going to be louder...damn.

Oh yea, and I know that guy, from Tulsa?. My buddy and I went to buy an AE86 from of him awhile back, it turned out to be junk. Wasn't THAT bad looking at it, kinda ruff, ran ok around the block, but as soon as we got on the Highway the ****** about exploded and fell apart...joy.

*EDIT! Ok, I see I made a SMALL mistake, thats not the guy from Tulsa, BUT the car forsale in the CARS FORSALE section is the TII sitting in his backyard....just wanted to clear that up. *

Actually i honeslty didnt know that it was only 2.25 ...eww... as for the car the guy is located in aiken south carolina 30 minutes from me...

But yeah that is your best bet with a 2.5 ID or get a presilencer.

IMO the RB presilencer looks nice, dumbasses at the inspection center can be easily fooled into beleiving it is a "racing cat" (trust me...it worked for me!), and it is QUALITY workmanship. Also, you can get the TII presilencer for the N/A. I ran one w/ my RB header, and when I email Racing BEat, they said that it bolts up fine. I say go with the RB. Cheaper does not always = better IMHO......

If all you want is a straight pipe just go to a muffler shop and have them weld up whatever you want.

If you really want LOUD, then an NA with a header & straight pipe will definately do it!

The only thing louder will be a fuel drag engine..
