Question Head Lights Wont Go Down

Alright,

Bought the car, gentlejax was trying to figure out the problem him self as well...
  • Is there a relay?
  • I've tried the switch(es), doesn't effect them
  • You can crank them manually halfway down then they pop back up indicating that the motor works indeed

Anyone have any suggestions? The wiring looks fine as well!

Mazda invented a neat-o little thing, put the headlights up without turning the lights on. Usually, the wiring for that **** fails in these cars. Check that.

The little switch above the head lights doesn't do anything, going to check the fuse now but I'm sure mike would have checked it..

Its the fuse box in the engine bay with like 7 fuses or something, just look at all your 30a fuses and see if one is blown.

I checked every fuse and ended up getting under the car, went to crank them manually and it went down for a second the looped right back up, almost as if the lights are stuck in an up condition or almost like a relay is stuck open.

Are there any relays? I tried another light switch and it didnt help...

Motors are bad, or the wiring is screwed that it's constantly signaling the headlight motors to stay up all the time.

Yeah, same here, an open relay seems like it would cause it...ive got the FSM in front of me but no time to check it.
