Head light assembly removal and replacment

just putting my FC back together after a respray . I'm a bit stumpt on the correct procedure for assembly the headlights and connecting the rod from the from the head light motors to the headlights . I've stripped the splines on the rods from connecting the rod's the wrong way around . Just wondering if anyone could walk me through it or lead me in the right directions to some pictures or diagram .

You really don't have to take the linkage off the motor.
With the headlight Motor IN,and the Headlight Buckets IN,.headlight retractor motor Fuse OUT.Do this...
turn the Motor's Manual **** UP all the way,.making sure that the linkage Pops up to Near the Headlight, where teh linakge is To attach to the "ball" on the Headlight Bucket frame.
If you can get the Headlight bucket to Remain up,.By proppin it up or have someone hold it,.you can Grab the Linkage arm and place the "bushin" up next to the ball.
Then using a 10-12 mm Socket and an Extension, place the socket over the Arm's Bushing and give it a Tap.It will Snap the linkage bushing onto the headlight. The headlight bucket and linkage should now be all attached and be Good to operate.
By putting the Fuse back in,the motors should align themselves and go up and then down.
They should be good to go now.
I hope that is understandable,.Good luck.STYX.
