Having probs with my T2

ok i finally got my T2 running enough to make some adjustments. mods are full RBexhaust downpipe FCD and no air pump . most of the time i try to accelerate quckly i get breakup that feels like fuel cut. but i doubt it becuase of the FCD. im boosting to about 30 on the stock guage. i know i have dirty injectors and an exhaust leak. the car sat for over 2 years and was started about once a month or so. could it be fuel cut or would the injectors be casuing it? i changed the oil coolant plugs and fuel filter. when i changed the fuel filter the gas that came out was a milky yellow. probably not a good sign. i've run through about 2 tanks of gas and put in a bottle of fuel injector cleaner in this tank.i also setup a water injection (instead of ATF) and suck down about 1.5 gallons of water. it seemed to run alot better after that. it is alos smoking a little bit after a hard run. nothing too bad but enough to see/smell it. that's all i can think of for now but im sure they'll be more later

Ok if you hit fuel cut I believe yhou won't have to question anyone about it. Its been said to be like hitting a wall.

Now don't go by your stock boost gauge. You need to get an aftermarket one to be sure. And if you know your injectors are dirty, you might as well pull them and have them professionally cleaned. Sounds to me like it could be the plug wires. How old are they?

get an aftermarket boost guage!

I didn't notice a walbro255 fuel pump in that list of mods with full exhuast. You're playing with fire. Get a fuel pump really soon. EGT guage would be smart too so you can actually get an idea of your a/f ratio

right now im trying to stay off boost. i don't drive very far to get to work and home. when i out in the new injectors im putting in 550 and 720 and a fuel pump. once i do that how do i stop the ecu from hitting fuel cut no matter what (not going nuts just don't want to have to worry about it. i am going to be running a s-afc before too long

If you have a properly working and installed FCD you won't hit fuel cut at all. Might be worth the $100 to get a new one and the sell the old one if you find out its good.
