well did you try looking above the exhaust?? is should be in that general area. might be black(it is on my n/a) did you not have an o2 sensor when you got the car?? if there is still one there just follow the wire and you will see the plug.

its usually a small tan square female clip that slides into the green single male connector on the 02 sensor... i believe it comes out where the primary injectors come out.

look/feel around-- put your hand at the middle of the firewall, and reach down by/under/around the intercooler/upper intake.

if you have to, remove the upper intake , it will only take you an hour or so to remove and put it all back on, (you dont have to remove it completely--leave the brake booster and vac lines on, etc.) and will make it a ton easier on yourself.

ok,my bad, i should have explained further, no i didnt have one when i got the car but the thing is, i bought a new one, installed it and ran a new wire to a black wire that is on the car wiring harness, not the engine harness, so im a lil confused, the only problem with the car is it doesnt idle when cold and hot starts are a bitch and its and 87 gxl converted to a t2, i did the full conversion and did the re-wiring. So i guess what im askin is, does the o2 sensor plug into the engine wiring harness or the chassis harness? Sorry for not gettin it straight first off

and i would still need to know what color the wire would be so that i can re-wire it correctly too, i just really want my car to be right. I even have new secondary injectors on order and am sinking every dime i have into the 7, it helps keep me out of trouble, hehe

its a thick shielded wire (black on the inside/with an outter gray shielding)

"it's a shielded cable that comes out of the harness in front of the BAC. Single connection. As the wire is very thin, they do break after a period of time. If you dig into the harness and see the shielded cable, just solder a new wire in place, but make certain you cover the splice, I used heat shrink, and make certain the shield doesn't touch any part of the O2 wire core, or it will take it to ground and you'll have no reading. Some will just run a new wire directly from the O2 sensor through the firewall and splice into the harness just before the ecu."--turbonut
