S4 or S5?

I've never torn apart the S4 hatch cylinder mounted ones so, dunno how they get they're power source, I would imagine its a level sensing switch of some description - but Im nt sure.

edit: were you doing some crazy manuvering when this happened? or just sitting in traffic?

Tough love .

I guess you could try pushing down the hatch levers with a screwdriver or something and see if it's just your hatch not making a good connection/seating properly/whatever you want to call it.
