I was in a friends car a while back and he had a hydrolic semi auto, basically hit the clutch and either hit the shifter down or up depending on if he wanted to shift up or down. Seemed to work well. Was in some Honda.

 

alot of diesiel tractors have that style of tranny, also a drag racing tranny called LENCO works as you describe.

 

yeah I was wondering if anyone has tried it in a 2nd gen?Sorry I wasn't more specific lol I wanted to know how it faired before I look into getting a custom tranny and flywheel for when I do the 5 speed swap
