Starting problem and rpm dropping

First of all, when I was putting my transmission back on, i overtightened the long bolt that holds the starter to the tranny and broke a piece off of the engine. I figure that since the starter is only supported by the tranny and not the tranny and engine, it might make it harder to start the car. Luckily, I've been able to start the car, but I've been having problems. A few times, I couldn't get the car to start and the only way that I have been able to do so was by stepping on the gas pedal. I guess I'm not supposed to do that, but it works. However, it's been getting harder and harder to start and early Sunday morning (3AM), I was stopping at the bay bridge toll and my car stalled. I spent 10 mins trying to start the car. When it came on, it died, because I didn't think that I had to keep the rpms up. When I finally got it back up the second time, I kept the rpms up and drove to Potrero Hill where it died exiting the freeway and I had to let it roll to a stop, start it up again and drive it to where I had to go. Sunday afternoon, I try starting the car and I get it running, but a short distance and the car died again. Anyway, I managed to drive it home later that night when traffic wasn't so bad and it's sitting in my garage.

Here are the mods:
FD alternator (my dad sanded the bolt down some, because he said it could cause a problem as it was rubbing against the manifold?)
R-magic grounding kit
APEXi power intake
Corksport catback 2.5" to 3" piping

I did a compression test where I pulled the egi fuse, used a compression tester (piston) and saw bounces of 60-65 instead of the 30-35 (did I do something wrong?) and a overall 90 on front and back.

This is a fuel problem, right? I'm thinking of replacing the fuel filter, but I am thinking of getting my injectors cleaned, too. I'm just thinking of doing the easiest things first, but I can't really afford to spend a lot of money doing so. I believe my battery is fine, it's roughly 6 months old, but I may have drained it a bit, cranking the car. Or could it be that my starter isn't able to crank the engine?

Any help will be great! Thanks!
