If so, was it difficult to do? I'm pretty handy when it comes to fixing things, just not sure if I want to attempt this or not.

I replaced my top myself with one from AA Best off of ebay. There are no markings or holes so you have to figue all that out. It sucked and was very stressful. The final result is OK.
I used the link below and the shop manual for references. Let me know if you decide to do it and I can give you some more tips I learned.

If you look at the link and it seems too hard, do yourself a big favor and buy a top, and have a shop put it in. If you do not do it right it will not last due to stress points being off.

Not to mention replacing the glass can be tricky too.

Here is a link for my top replacement.

Good luck.
Furthermore, the labor I was quoted at a couple of shops was in excess of $400. They would not install a top that I provided, so the total with top and labor was over $800. I have heard other people who paid $1200.

It is really not that hard, it is just tedious and all the while, you know that if you screw it up, you are starting over with another $300 top. Take your time. Expect to walk away, ask some questions on the board and think things through.

One more thing, if I had to do it over again, I would buy a new rear window seal from Blackdragon.com. They sell them for $100. It would be worth it to avoid the pain-in-the-butt job of removing the old adhesives from the seal.

Mine still looks great, works great nearly 1 year later.

Good luck!
