STYX.
Regardless of his forum issue he had other ways of communication

Wish you best of luck getting your engine back and hope it works out

i won't try to make excuses, i should have made time to let him know what was going on and all i can do is try to make it up to him. part of that is delivering the engine myself, saving him the shipping costs and giving an apology in person.

i know i would be pretty damn pissed if someone did this to me too and honestly hsilive has been too forgiving, maybe i'll come up with more ways to make it up to him somehow. you all have every right to say the things you did.

Now THAT is an honorable apology.

Well done Ben.

i would never intentionally try to rip anyone off but it was my fault for not picking up the phone and letting him know i was a bit overwhelmed with everything going on at the time.

i also won't give a woe is me speech trying to gain sympathy, just trying to work on making him happy somehow.

NOTE!:

As RotaryEvolution STILL has a problem with his account, and it is being looked into(weird ****!), He has been given Permission to post under the screen name of Lyger.. until things can get fixed up.

We all would like to see both sides happy,so there is no use in trying to hinder progress.
2 Sides are communicating now and it's moving forward.

Thanks Lads.

Bens a good person, never had any problems what so ever. Very honest guy. I found it weird that you had problems getting ahold of him, this explains why. Glad he's putting forth effort into making things right.

well i think the insight is finally ready for the long trip, though it could use some rear shocks.. it bottoms out easily without a 250lb chunk of metal in the hatch. well probably could use a valve adjustment too, i hope i can remember how to adjust valves! just kidding, i had to tear apart the top end of the GMC prior to moving, damn bent pushrod boingers... better than losing an apex seal i suppose but if i hear anyone complain about poor gas mileage, try 7.5mpg(40 gallons goes 300 miles between fuel stops though it held 55 gallons, the fuel gauge was wonky so i didn't trust it).

ain't no big deal, just another 1000 miles to my 2500 mile trip, will be good to see my dad again even under the circumstances. he may need me there whether he admits it or not.

i am going to see how this offer on a house goes before i figure out whether i will head there before or after my trip to iowa. which answers any speculation about my financial position in this thread.

update:

the engine was delivered, installed, running and driven.

and that is the last time i ever drive across the country without sleep. 40 hours and 2100 miles back home, taking the occasional break for 15 minutes.

yes, i actually have almost nothing on my plate at the moment with most everything being caught up after moving everything down here.

mostly i have just been focusing on parts sales but the workspace in the shop is currently empty aside from doing the clutch on my exes RX8 and random tweaking to my insight. well that and the lotus super 7 frame on the jig i should get working on at some point.

if it's just a basic rebuild then turnaround would be rather quick since i no longer have a waiting list.

This Thread should rightfully STAY anyways as it show the true colors of HONEST members of this Forum and Rx7 Community.
Ben could have cut and run but NO..he is a man of word and did what he promised.
You meet very few of that caliber, especially within the confines of the "World Wide WEB".
I am glad that things worked out well and it makes me proud to be part of this little happy family of car owners.

NOW,break out the Beer!..it's Party time!
