Just wanting to know if anyone has had any experience selling a n/a engine. If so is it easier selling it in parts or all together???

I've sold whole and in parts.
it depends on if the engine is in running condition and if you are selling local or can ship.
a running N/A engine can get you about 500 and up depending on the condition.

you see there is a problem that lies here and the problem is that i dont know if it runs because it lacks a starter. The past owner I bought it from said it does, but I didn't see it with my own eyes. What should I do??

An s4 N/A is slightly more difficult to sell, it would have to go for cheaper. An S5 is the rare one. Do a compression test somehow, you will need a transmission and starter of course. Not much you can do from there....

Don't go out expecting to get $700 off an engine you don't know the condition of. Alot of people would be weary of it.
