has anyone ever passed emissions with no...

ACV or any of the rats nest?

I'd really like to remove the things before I put the motor in, but I have to pass emissions every other year. so, has anyone ever passed emissions tests without the two above mentioned things? like, if everything is running right on a S5 TII, and I put on like 2 aftermarket cats, and the airpump just flowing straight to the exhaust, do you guys think I could pass?
does the ACV and all that other crap really make that much of a difference?

thanks

air pump straight to cat will pass better then ACV...

but if they have under hood checks you'd probably fail that.

and you don't want to leave the pipe hooked to the cat for more then a day.

okay, cool. yeah, I'll be removing my air pump normally, so that's cool.

and they don't have underhood checks.... at least they don't have a clue what they're looking for. they passed my dad's Z and it didn't even have a cat on it.

i thought you didnt have emissions in austin, ya yuppie. feel free to PM me with info. i already paid a $175 ticket to Plano. my car is sitting (lost an apex seal sounded like) in front of my house, which means its on public property. which means its storing a non-moving vehicle since the inspection is out. cant pass inspection with a car that doesn't run. its a sitting duck. i need a sticker.

i was pretty sure its 24 years old and older, so maybe 80 and older. i saw the sign at a local oil change place up here. i'll have to double check or if you have a link, that'd work. either way, i like the '83 and ups better than the younger first gens.
