harness's and seats or...

...can I just go roll bar and harness's with stock seats? Then upgrade the seats later on.

What should I do? I need some suggestions.

Harnesses with the stock seats aren't a good idea, as the belts can and will slip off your shoulders in an accident.

So I should get the seats with the harness's then. But where would the harness's connect to? Has anyone done this like this before?

The harness connects to the bolts beside the seat and the roll bar.

To do it properly you need all three to work together, you can have seats and rollbar by themselves, but harnesses dictate that you have the others.

Get seats and the rollbar and use the stock belts. You do not want to use stock seats w/ the 4 point harness.. it will fall off your shoulders. I have a bucket seat and am using the stock seatbelts and it works fine (accept the stock seatbelt likes to be fussy and lock too often..).

I have a momo start seat with the stock harness. Works fine, I wish I could get a cheap roll bar so I could get a harness, but I probably wouldn't use the race harness on the street just because it's a pain. My friends have them in their VW's, one of them put his stock seat and harness back in just because it was too uncomfertable. You can find a picture here... http://www.cardomain.com/ride/1412595 and it doesn't look bad, the flash really made it look bad.

The problem with mounting a harness to anything but a roll cage is that the angle the belts make (between the mounts and your shoulder) will be too steep, or the belts will be too long and will stretch an unaceptable amount. With a steep belt angle you risk compressing your spine in an accident, or being forced forward in your seat. Either one is bad. The angle should be no more than maybe 20-30 degrees from horisontal at the absolute most. around 0-10 degrees is best.
