Question Harness ? (where does this go) please help

I'm dealing with the part of wiring harness thats under the manifold, and theres one black plug that I can't figure out where it goes. I searched but couldnt find any thing, probly b/c the question is so dumb, but hey I'd rather look stupid than stay stuck on this damn plug.

I'm thinkning it must be on the manifold or the alternator but I'm not seeing it, and I lost my short term memory or something cuz i took it off only 2 days ago

that right there is your Oxygen sensor plug. it reaches towards the back of your engine and plugs into the oxygen sensor out of the down pipe

hhmmm, yeah i was wrong about the oxysensor. sorry bout that.

is that plug coming out of the harness alone/by itself or is there a squarish plug about the same length with it/next to it.

look at the back of your waterpump housing. there should be two sensors. there should be a squarish one and a round one. the squarish one is the water temp sensor (the socket should have a little metal clip). the one your holding (if i'm correct) would be the aux temp sensor (like a fan switch), it sits right next to the temp sensor.

if its not that, then i'm stumped. thats all i got man

well, if it is the aux switch, then dont worry about it. i broke mine off while fixing my waterpump. it is really only for the A/T models. just make sure that it is in fact the aux switch. i have an S5 turbo, and didnt need it at all.

is the water temp plug (squarish one) next to it??? post a pic of the wires that come out with it. i'll take a look at my 7 double check and i'll get back to you on that.

well its all good i did w/o it, i hope it wont matter I got the motor in and all set I was tring to start it up but got the cops called on me. Same guys that came last night too when we were useing air tools. lucky this cop loves cars he use to have a shop and has a supra so instead of a ticket he just helped me move my car back in the garage. This was the first cool cop I have ever met. The cop and my buddy think it wont start due to a timing issue, its not flooded I know that fuse trick and it got soo close. its started up but died after a few secs 3 times. will check on what to do about timing but the cop said i gotta stop for tonight
