Hard Starts
Hey guys for awhile now I've been wondering why my car seems so be flooded all the time.
When turning it on in the morning it's rather hard, for example, Instead of shooting up to 3k, it will turn over a little bit (still under 1k) and I'll have to feed it gas and whatever is in the exhaust comes out. It sounds like the exhaust gets clogged or backed up or something and it shoots over and over until the car frees up and the revs go to normal. During the clogging period if I let go of the gas, the car will die and won't turn on unless I go through the de flooding process. Very confused. Any info helps
I have a 87 Fc

^^^^ what satch said. Possibly a clogged cat? I've also had an instance where car would run perfect one day, and super rich the next. My rotary mechanic narrowed it down to faulty wiring. If your harness looks like a typical K-FC Extra Krispy harness, might want to tackle redoing it if you eliminated every other possibility.

ill add in the possibility of a minor coolant seal leak which is pushing coolant into the engine overnight. this causes cold start issues and the infamous smoke cloud and running on one rotor for 30 seconds scenario.
a 25 year old original rotary engine is running on borrowed time.
you could drop a bottle of blue devil in the radiator but it's just buying time and cleanup will be a headache during the rebuild process.
