If it's a real E6K then it will run everything including spark. If you don't want it for the 200 I'll take it!

Make sure it's an E6K, and not a more basic model. The E6K is a full engine management system, controlling fuel, ignition and a whole lot more besides. Haltech do make fuel-only computers so make sure it's the real deal. And yes, the E6K uses MAP sensing for calculating fuel and ignition requiements and doesn't use the airflow meter.

It'll work on practically any engine.

That sounds a bit too good to be true, so be absolutely sure of what you're buying before handing over any cash. Also be aware that unless you're very confidant about working on vehicle electrics you're going to have to pay someone to install it. You should also get it properly dyno tuned before you do any hard driving.

Yes, sound like the F9, which is fuel only. It still can be used on rotaries with great sucess - lots of guys do it.
The 36K is one of haltechs top models and is a full stand alone EMS system. They sell for $1200 usd, so if you don't want it for $200 if it really is an E6K (i don't think it is) then I'll pay for it and give you $100 extra for your trouble

don't waste your time it'll be a huge pain in the *** to try to setup while trying to run your stock ecu for just the spark.

www.hitman.hm has alot of info on haltech's..

unless you converted your car to a distributor setup like a first gen, you will need to keep the stock ECU to control the ignition. However, to the best of my knowledge you wont need to keep the AFM because timing is only controlled by the input from the preassue sensor.

(just noticed that siite i posted is down right now... )

Well, personally, I would. In fact I was going to buy a F9 for my car a while back and run it along side the stock ECU. (due to financial difficulties I'm not anymore )

maybe try posting in the Haltech section of this site.
