i heard that the microtech is better but its harder to find tuners for it. i have the e6k on my first gen tii swap but its not finished yet so i dont have any good or bad to say about it yet except that the software is easy to use. I got mine used for 700 shipped with the harness and 3 bar map

Oh oh, here comes the war...
You realize there is a Microtech AND a Haltech section in here?
Maybe you can go read in there yourself and come to you own conclusion?

Yes, there is an Engine Management Forum if you scroll down.
As of now I'm on a mission. Microtech can kiss my *** as far as I'm concerned.
They went from $120 to $360 (current) to re-configure. That's bullshit.
I don't care if the AUD to US rate has changed. It's a HUGE jump no matter how you put it.
So, if you guys plan on keeping that EMS for that one car. It's ok but if you plan on selling that thing, GOOD LUCK! You will need to re-configure the EMS whenever it's installed onto any other engine besides it was programmed for. So going from a 13B to a 13B-REW will need to have it re-configured.
If Microtech is going to stay competitive with other EMS such as their neighbor Haltech, they can't be pulling this bullshit. ****, that figure blindsided me when I was about to sell my LTX8.

Well, let me throw my .02 in here.

I asked just about everyone that I knew that tuned FCs, and they ALL recommended the E6K (including Mr. ReTED). So I bought an E6K.

I have a Wolf system now (v3). Support from them has always been shaky. I like the V4 alot, especially the PC software. Very well written. Not as impressed with Halwin.

But if I don't hear from Wolf soon, I'm becoming a traitor and going Haltech as well

I believe the best answer for this question is:

.

.

.

Get the one that your tunner knows about. Because it is probably bes that a "pro" do the tunning for you.
