haltech and 550's will I pop the motor?

right now I have a stock port S4 T2 with haltech and stock injectors. I have a full turbo back exhaust and I ported the wastegate to as large as it can get and still seal.

What kind of PSI will I reach with no boost controller, and I feel that I shouldnt go past 8psi with 4-550's.

so am I right?

i think on the safe side you should upgrade to something like some 720cc secondaries. you might shoot up to 12 psi on a ported wastegate and without the fuel = :-(

my setup is similar. haltech e6x, ported wastegate, stock motor and im going with some 720's. my homeboy who actually works for haltech suggested me to upgrade the secondaries.

just wait and see what other ppl might say. i could be wrong but i thought i would just put some imput in

You can also use 720 prim and 1000sec. But it all depends how good your tuner is and your set up? I.E Intercooler wise and fuel pump etc..

well this is a stock TMIC. So you think Ill hit 10-12psi without a boost controller? I didnt think it would be that high.
The tuner is very good and I will be getting 1600 secondaries so when I put in my big turbo I have the fuel.

Maybe I could get 720's for now and then convert them to the primaries when I go big turbo.

I will be running a walboro pump......and do you think 550/1600 will support 370whp on a t4 60-1??

If you are using the stock wastegate flap (not a new one welded on) you WILL creep. Without ported, you will go to 17-18 psi. The stock flapper, you will probably creep to like 13-15. NOT good!

You will need to port the wastegate to like, 25-30mm...and weld on a new flapper. Otherwise, expect a lot of creep...

it depends on how well the wastegate was ported and how much material was removed from behind the hole.

If it's ported gigantically and relief was cut into the backing plate and etc, it shouldn't creep too badly.

You'll want bigger primares than 550 I'd think.

My setup is 720/1600 and I'm not quite sure how much it'll support but we'll see.

I ran 9 psi on a stock port/turbo/intercooler motor with a full turbo back exhaust with the stock injectors just fine. You don't NEED to upgrade them yet. You've still got some room.

Whether or not you'll blow your motor up is all going to be based soley on tuning. At the level you are at, it won't be due to a lack of fuel system capacity.

yeah we are using a map from rxstacy for the timming splits etc and then adding more fuel that he has to do a safe base tune. Then with the wideband we will just keep knocking it down until the afr look good.

Yah, I'm running about 10 psi on the stock injectors with a walbro, and my A/F stays at pretty consistant 11.0s.

Of course I'm at a higher altitude, and the haltech only shows ~8psi.
