Unhappy haha...foot slips off foot rest, now oil pressure gauge is out...damn...

...my foot slipped off of my foot rest, and I accidentaly kicked the CPU or in car fuse box plus a buttload of wires, now my oil pressure gauge is out...




tried looking for a blown fuse or a broken wire, but couldn't find anything...help?

Check the wire that attaches to the sending unit in the engine bay.

Spark plug side of the motor, to the right of the sparkplugs. Tends to fall off regularly on my car. Hope that is your problem..

Sounds more like you hit a bump and knocked the sensor wire off the sending unit in the engine bay. The oil pressure sending unit is located just under the oil filter. It's a large cylindrical object with one wire connected to it. The wire has a tendancy to fall off. I took a small peice of aluminum foil, slipped it inside the wire's "plug" and made the fit tighter once everything is reattached. It happens often, dont worry, if you didnt have oil pressure your engine would die in less than 30 seconds.

red/yellow wire in the engine bay runs parellel the pressure sensor, gauge, and capacitor

btw



that green led wire on the sensor goes to the yellow red wire, that was my fix to get it working again.

wow, u have no idea how much help this thread was for me with the pictures, if it wasn't for that pic i wouldn't have fixed that problem i had 2. thnx a lot fellaz

I sure do have a mess of wires and crap on the driveside engine bay right there don't I though? Including the moved fuel filter. All kinda stuff just shoved up there, lol
