the bracket that holds the air pump to the engine snapped, so I had to remove the air pump, I connected the hose direct from the Air box to the ACV, is there anything wrong with what I've done or anything else I need to do?

Get ready to buy a new catalyitic converter or gut your existing one.

You will have to gut the cats, as White FC suggested. They will get too hot without the added air from the air pump.

Also, get a dual belt pulley for your alternator so you don't over-rev the waterpump.

Explain to me exactly how the waterpump spins faster without an airpump? Also, how will two belts slow down the "rev's" of the waterpump if they are spinning at the same speed as only one belt???

With all of that said, I do agree that without a airpump, dual alt belts are a good mod to prevent belt slipping at the alternator.

The only reason to get a dual pulley is so the water pump doesn't SLIP. It can slip with only one belt, hence the reason for a dual pulley. Changing the alternator pulley wouldnt make a bit of a difference for the water pump, you'd have to change the main or water pump pulley for it to make any differance at all.

Most aftermarket cats don't need an airpump connection. Just get one thats designed to run w/out an airpump.

You might as well remove the AVC as well, as it's completely redundant without the air pump and stock cat.
