hacked wiring - steering column
Hey, hoping someone might have an idea what this wiring is doing here
one of the wires going along the left side of the steering column is tapped here

the red wire coming from there passes to the other side of the steering column into this relay

from there, the orange goes into this white onnector into the yellow/black stock relay

and green goes to another relay

on there the one black looks like its supposed to be a ground, the other black loops between 2 terminals on the relay, and the yellow goes to this sensor on the gas pedal (full throttle switch?)

if it matters, the car was an auto n/a s4, converting to s4 t2 everything
any ideas?

Black/Green at the ignition switch on a Automatic car is the Start wire.
The Yellow/Black wire in the Starter Cut Relay is switched power that is there anytime the key is ON.
I''m not familiar with the switch on the throttle pedal. Auto related item.

I made a mistake. You said that the brown wire went into the yellow/black relay and I interpreted that as yellow/black wire.
So where the brown wire goes to the white connector of yellow/black relay..................my queston is, is that brown wire sharing a socket in the white connector with another wire or is it all alone in the white connector?

The brown wire has been repinned into the relay replacing whatever stock wire was there, no sharing
Could it be a flood clear system? Tied to ignition switch and full throttle switch... Does that black/yellow relay have anything to do with fuel?

..as you may be able to clear the Fuel at WOT,..BUT what about when you Punch the Throttle???..you get Fuel Cut off???.
I wanna find out more on that thing,..( why do people tear into stuff without knowin ..)
By the way that Black and Yellow connectored Relay IS a Fuel Pump Relay, on an S4.located under the dash, steering column area.right knee...(lol!)

A normal plug for the Circuit Opening Relay would look like the jpg attached. That view is looking into the wire side of the plug.
The blue wires in your hand.................they would be considered blue wires. The green hash mark means zippity.
When you look at the jpg attached you see a L/R or Blue/Red wire in the corner of the plug. That wire leaves the relay base and goes to the rear of the car to feed the fuel pump.
I don't understand the blue wires in your hand. You might remove the friction tape and see what is under there. Is it two wires spliced together or what. Both deadended under there? or what?
The blue/red wire would have a jacket colored blue with a solid red stripe running its length. This jpg is out of a 88 wiring diagram but I have a 86-87 FSM with wiring and I'm pretty sure it's the same. Have not looked but I"m fairly sure.

fyi if anyone is interested - i removed the system (mostly because megasquirt will have flood clear functions anyways, and i don't want to have to worry about iffy wiring)
here's a pic of the whole setup. the blue/green actually must have been plugged into the gold relay, and that's what triggered the fuel pump
