Question GXL, or GTU?

Hey guys, I've been looking at this s5, it's been repainted so it has no decalling on the fenders. It is a 2seater(not 2+2), cloth interior, sunroof, nothing fancy. It mechanically does not have the eletric adjust. susp the GXL had, but it also has no buck tag on the rear, to show it is posi or not.

So, how can I sure fire find out what it is? Is there a specific code on the vin tag that i can use to verify the correct model? I really believe it is a GTU, but i am not sure. Thanks for looking and helping, James.

If it has four-pot front brakes/vented rears, cruise control, and a rear wiper...I hate you.

GXL

Only GXLs had AAS, (in the states anyway). S5 GXLs don't have LSD, S4s do.

crank or electric windows? GXL will have power windows

and no 89+ GXL had a LSD.

And Posi is GM's name for a LSD... calling a LSD is like calling all refrigerators Kenmores.

The GTU came with sunroof options, the GTUs did not.

The only sunroof on a GTUs was dealer or aftermarket installed.
