heres my reply:
"6-speed manual transmission"
rx7's never came with a 6 speed tranny... reverse doesnt count!

"a stage two flywheel and stage two clutch"
.. stage 2? what?

"It has good tires with 15 inch 7 1/2 pound rims"
those rims are 14" and weigh more than twice that.

" It also has custom dual exhaust"
by 'joe's discount exhaust'? you could have at least bent the hangers so the exhaust wasnt horrendously crooked.

"Car was used as a street racer and needs an apex seal before it can be run regularly"
so it needs a new engine, unless you dont mind tow starting it and you only need to run it for 30 seconds at a time.

"When used as a racer, it did 10.2 in a quarter mile"
maybe thats the 0-60 time. i see that car running mid 16s.

"Car is NOS ready."
along with every other car... all you need is a nitrous kit.

i own a 2nd gen rx7. this is the worst rx7 i have ever seen. your advertisement is the biggest lie i have ever seen on ebay. i hope nobody buys it. its best value would be to be used as a parts bitch. it doesnt even have a shift boot!

hey, give the guy a break... you guys know it could be a 19.2 second car... the 9 is right next to the zero. but being NOS ready and a 6 speed tranny with aero changes.... we are close to tens... hmmm...

"He says some parts were imported directly from Japan by the previous owner (the racer)"

*** dat, it looks like he imported parts from Greasy Bob's Backdoor Auto Wreckers. Some people need to be taken out back and shot.

He's a re-write of the ad:

"You are bidding on a 1987 Mazda RX7. This car has the unobtanium space travel module. It also has warp drive, but we took it out before we put it up for sale. It has a two-stage titanium rotor booster system and it could be used to haul carrots (though no carrots are included). It has a rust'em exhaust system and tires. It flew to Jupiter is 10.2 minutes. We beat the **** out of the car and damaged it severely, so we'd like to sell it now."

It sounds like the seller is really a parent of the owner and knows nothing about the car. There are probably some "telephone game" translations in the description. The kid probably doesn't know **** either, and doesn't have the verbal skills to express himself clearly anyway.

Eh, I believe part of the ad is BS.. but hey.. whoever DOES buy it and has ALOT of time on their hands can easily make it into a major project car, or just a parts car.... for what's left of the car anyway.

the seller added some more information about this heap. sounds like someone is playing the blame game .

On Oct-12-02 at 10:10:40 PDT, seller added the following information:
Additional info added - I am selling this car for my son in San Antonio and have listed the information he has given me. The titanium rotors are on the gearshaft, not the driveshaft. He says the tires are 15 inch lightweight tires. He says some parts were imported directly from Japan by the previous owner (the racer). Keep in mind that the car is nos ready, not nos equipped (it has run on nos before). Also keep in mind that though the car will start it can't be put on the road until the apex seal is replaced.
