gutting cats/shottin flaims

is it true that when you gut your cats you will shoot flaims?? if so is it safe??? also when will it shoot them out(when rapping it out or just normal driving). asking cuz i dont want to be pulled over for illigal exhaust cuz i cant prevent flaims from coming out my exhaust

it should shoot flames only when you rev high and then let off(it'll make popping sounds when you let off). and yes its safe.

hell i get flames with a cat. it will be when you are relly driving. youll know when you hear it go *POP* the first time. its not quite the sound of a back fire but impresive all the same. and as for sound, it will sound bad in the best way.

Don't gut them, in my opinion the walls are to thin with the cats gutted(it sounds ok, but it could sound a lot better). Just go to a muffler shop and have them make you a pipe to put in place of all the cats for like 50 bucks. That way you can always put the cats back on if need be. But you have to take the cats off and say make me a pipe the length of this, they can't replace a cat without putting another cat back on your car(unless they are cool and are willing to break the law), so you have to put it on your self.

sure, it's not needed once you take off the cat. It's just there to pump air into the cat for better emissions.
What kind of cat-back do you have RX-7Blazin? I have a header and no cats, but my RP cat-back is too restrictive to flame out the back.

damn i just gutted my cats man what a difference it was like the engine was struggling to breath out now it can easly and it really goes, also i have a 3ARacing muffler(it sounds very nice not tinny or ricy at all i would sugest one) my exhaust sound when from a purring kitten to a growling lion if thats how you want to put it cuz its very deep sounding and has no high pitched sounds or rattley tinny sounds. also why i havent got anyone to just make me a pipe is so when i get it inspected they see the cat's so i will pass but if somehow dont i have the old ones. one thing is now exhaust gasses are getting into my car i think one of the gaskets was bad so i need to get that fixed

Hella cool blue flame.

My car is becoming more like me every day, works only some times and shoots blue flames from the exhaust.
